Hot Air Balloon Party

Last month we celebrated our Lil Mateo's FIRST birthday...it was a perfect day...the weather (in my opinion) was perfect because there was a perfect light dusting of drizzle...the same as the very day he was born.  We designed the party around what Mateo LOVES which are BALLOONS and GLOBES...so we made it a Hot Air Balloon Party...Around The World for Our Mateo Bear!  Both Grandpa Doug and Grandma GIGI flew in just that morning to help celebrate this day...they are so amazing and full of love for all of our kids.  We had our amazing friends join us and Mateo was a happy boy!

I wish we could have these all the time...there were over 100 balloons out there!

The day couldn't have gone more perfect....I thank everyone who helped me..it was our family of friends who came together not just to celebrate Mateo...but to help make the day great.  EVERYONE wanted to help..Dolores, Nancy, Alyssa were my kitchen buddies....but the man that saved my day...and was so cute in the kitchen I could cry..was...GODDADDY WES...thank you so much! xoxo And Godmommy being the shutterbug she always is!  I love all of you guys!

Living by the beach

There are some cons living in the OC...but man o man...living by the beach trumps them all...and there is a lil man named Mateo that agrees with me whole heartedly!

Galinda and Gigi

Thanks to our Gigi we were spoiled and treated to an amzing day which included WICKED the Musical.

I can't find the words...it was too amazing...too great...too inspiring...too emotional...left me in awe!

I had heard it was amazing...and I thought it might be to hyped up..but...it wasn't..not for one second.  And, don't get me wrong the musical was breath-taking...but the best part was to watch it alongside my Bella Bear and to share it with Grandma Gigi.

You see our Bella has proven to be QUITE THE singer...and I'm not saying...sing...I'm saying she can SANG!!!!!!  The same confidence I have knowing that Johnny will one day grace a sold out show at one of the great stages...I KNOW without a doubt our Bella will one day grace the Broadway stage!  I know...I know...Moms have to say that...but I swear to all the is holy....she can SANG!!!!

It seriously was an honor and overwhelming emotional experience to watch Bella's eyes just gleam with happiness, dreams, inspiration, drive, sheer DESIRE to one day be on that stage.  I am getting choked up even writing about it because I see it...the same desire I had when I was her age....she has it...and I will die fostering it.  Bella is blessed with a gift...and she is blessed with 3 parents that support and foster this inside her...she has a family that loves her...she has a Grandma Gigi who flies down to take her to the show for her birthday...she has a daddy who never misses her shows...she has a papa bear who beams with pride..and she has her mama that will drive her, watch her, make her up, snuggle her up, wish her luck everyday of her life!  

One thing I will always be grateful to Big Jogn for was that he was the first person in my life (actually 2nd...the first was my high school choir teacher who "heard through the grapevine that I could sing") but John was the first person to tell me that I could sing and that as harsh as it sounded...was a sad reality that my talent truely was never fostered...BUT...that's okay...my path is different and God has blessed me with some fantastically talented but more important sweet and gold hearted kids.  

So to all 4 of my kiddos..I love you...the world either is or will soon be your stage...and GO BREAK A LEG!

Tewinkle Fun

Last week Aunt Shelly, myself, and all our kiddos spent some time at a really cool park...I mean..in my almost 14 years of being a mommy I dub this one of the coolest parks i have ever taken the kids to.  It is CLEAN, safe, huge, new, and great lil picnic areas.  It is in Costa Mesa...Tewinkle Park 970 Arlington..its about a ten minute drive and totally worth it!  Thanks for the great find Aunt Shelly!

NYE kiddo style

I know its 361 days away...but I thought I would share the fun way we celebrated NYE this year with the kids...and maybe all you mommys and daddys could try it out next year....or you can even do a more grown up version with your crazy friends...

We started at 8pm..each kiddo received a surprise bag...in it 1 treat and 1 task....that you HAVE TO COMPLETE in order to get the treat.

Mark and fill the bags with whatever you would like...

Our first ones had 1 soda for each kid and a post it with an order...Johnny's was to imitate each family memeber because he is soooooo darn funny at this!!!!!

The next has a favorite snack of theirs and asking them to tell us their funniest or most embarrasing moment of 2011...they had some good ones...

The third was by far my favorite...a lemon wedge they had to suck...and then Johnny had to dance like Britney Spears and Bella like James Hetfield!!!!!!

The last was filled with snappers..noise makers...confetti bombs...and a time capsule questionare...

The kids really loved it...and counted down each hour with anticipation....
