PATCHWORK!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gents I am sooooo excited to announce that The Style Bandit has been accepted to be a vendor at this years Long Beach Patchwork Show!!!!!!  A big THANK YOU to La Dona Emilie Lairson who told me about this fabulous show last year and to my amazing Jamas who took me to it and helped my 9 month pregnant booty waddle through the rain to be amazed and inspired by all the awesome vendors at this show!!!!!  I applied only for the Long Beach one because of our STILL NURSING bambino...and I just didnt want to get overwhelmed with triple weekends of all shows as a vendor....BUT YOU BETTER BELIVE I WILL STILL ATTEND ALL 3!!!!  If you haven't been...you must go...not just because yours truely will be there...BUT...because it is truely a collection of some of the best artisits out there today...I cannot say enough about this show!!!!  So I will remember to remind you all...and hope to see you all there!!!


ANd in the meantime...I hope to see you in my new favorite lil spot on Sunset Beaches lil darling Peter's Landing Farmers Market every Saturday Morning from 9am til 2pm...it is suppose to be BEAUTIFUL tomorrow...so come on out!!!!!

 Here we have 2 college dropouts....one a genius..one a proud mommy who gave birth to a genius...both followed the unconventional paths that would lead them to greatness. Mr. Jobs path led him to be one of the most amazing and inventive minds of the century.  And my path led me find and realize my purpose in life to be the best mommy I can ever be to my children.

Steve Jobs...a visionary...without a doubt changed our tech. lives forever.  Proof that you don't need a piece a paper to make your dreams come true...to acheive success.  All you need is the passion, vision, patience.

Thank You Mr. Jobs...you are an amazing inspiration to me.

HATE....it's such an ugly word

If there is one word I totally disike it is HATE.  The word by definition is:feel extreme aversionfor or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy;to hate bigotry.YUCK...isn't that awful.

So...when it comes to my darling rascals...I totally prohibit the use of this word for 3 reasons...it's ugly...it's ignorant...and it rids you of your own power towards whatever is it you "hate" something that can enable you to have that much disdain towards??? Is it worth it?

HOWEVER.....it happened today...I was driving on my merry way through the crazy OC roads that I do everyday to deliver my children to theri respective extra curricular activites...WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN...Mr. KIIS FM announces that an Adele song was up next...being Bella and my favorite artist right now..we were stoked...the sweet music starts up...anticipating Adele's gorgeous voice and amazing lyrics...when all of the sudden this song is ravaged and tarnished with the disgusting sound of Techno Tracks...WWWHHHHHAAAAATTTTT....they flippin turned an ADELE song into a DANCE song...I seriously had to pul over and try to contain the baby barf errupting into my mouth form this discovery.

It was SAD..but TRUE!

Mr. Producer..SHAME..SHAME on you.

I forgive you Adele..please don't let this happen again...

Bella and I could hardly contain our baby barf after hearing the TECHNO version of Adele's Someone Like You.

They get better and better...

Just when I think we had THE MOST AMAZING WEEKEND EVER...CANNOT BE TOPPED...the next one comes along and poof..ANOTHER ONE EVEN BETTER!

This weekend was no exception...we started off by celebrating our Bella Bear who was awarded STUDENT OF THE MONTH...HOLLA!  And even though Jamas and Johnny couldn't join us cause of work and school...Big John and I plus Chubby Mateo were there celebrating and cheering Bella on!!!!

She also was awarded a certificate of excellance for her Star Testing scores which were AMAZING..thanks in large part to her phenomenal 4th grade teacher Ms. Ballard...we LOVE HER!

Drumroll please...this is it...this is the enchanting spot Jamas and I found this weekend...where we will be getting married.  This beach holds a lot of significant ties and memories for us...not to mention it is the very place that brought Jamas down to one knee a lil over a month ago.

And...hearts a thumping for me...we decorated for Halloween...HOWEVER...we did have to hold back a bit this year because we do have to host a reception here in THREE WEEKS...WOWOWOWOWOW!!!

Hip Hip Hooray It's OCTOBER!!!!

AHHHH....the month of October...how do I love Thee!!!!!  I have always loved this month...Pumpkins...chai lattes...making the kids costumes (and by making I mean driving to Party City and buying them.. :))....watching Halloween Movies...visiting EVERY pumpkin Patch within a 100 mile radius...I love it all...and this year it's extra special because it's our bunnies first halloween outside the tummy with us...AND..I'm going to marry my LOVE!
